Unfortunately we cannot safely or logistically accommodate parents/carers or others in the playground in the mornings or in the afternoons before 3pm. We need the playground to be kept clear for all students and staff in the mornings and afternoons. There is insufficient space available for parents/carers, students and staff.
* Parents will still be able to access the front office, however, due to safety risks, the playground will be for the use of students only.
* The playgrounds will be supervised by staff. They will wear fluoro safety jackets for easy student recognition.
* We do not hold any communication assemblies in the mornings. Students line up in their designated areas and teachers collect them and escort them to class. There is no available space for parents to stand at this time.
* Your support will enable us to monitor the safety of all of our students and will ensure that students can safely walk to class.
* Executive staff will attend the gates to ensure all students stay safely in the playground after parents and carers say goodbye at the gates. This will allow staff on duty to better monitor our students in the mornings as they play on the handball courts and under the hall COLA.
* A temporary barrier will be erected between the office and the library while we wait for a gate to be installed.
* Students can be supervised at school from 8:40am. The bell for class goes at 9:10am.
* Kindergarten parents will be able to enter via the 'kiss & drop' gate near the basketball court until Friday 8th February to deliver their child to the COLA area lines.
* From Monday 11th February, we will have only students in the playground in the mornings.
* In the event of wet weather, all students in years 1-6 will go straight to their classrooms in the mornings and kindergarten will stay under the hall COLA.
* Students who attend our support unit classes will continue to be able to be dropped off and picked up in the small playground.
* At 3pm, students in years K-6 will assemble in their lines for dismissal once the 3:10pm bell goes.
* All gates (including back gate) will be open at 3pm for parents to enter.
Please be respectful and patient of others when leaving the school as we know this is a busy time.
