Welcome to Oran Park Public School, where our motto, Love of Learning, reflects our commitment to fostering a lifelong passion for growth in every student. We believe learning thrives in a community that values curiosity, creativity, and teamwork. Our school provides a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where students feel valued and supported. Through explicit teaching and clear Learning Intentions and Success Criteria, students understand their goals and take ownership of their learning. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning program, based on Kindness on Purpose and Choice Theory, encourages intentional kindness and responsible choices, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
We are proud to incorporate Aboriginal education across our curriculum, recognising and respecting the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal people. We highly value strong partnerships with families and the wider community, enriching our school culture through shared events and learning experiences. Our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program offers activities like public speaking, debating, chess, arts, drama, and sports. Many students participate in prestigious events such as the Schools Spectacular and perform at the Sydney Opera House, building confidence, creativity, and leadership. Our wellbeing and support staff guide student wellbeing, learning needs and inclusion. They work with teachers to make personalised adjustments. This means each child can take part fully in school life. We make our school welcoming and accessible to every child.
